  • Meet The Digital Marketers Who Spent Two Years Working For The FTC

    Raashee is a distinguished leader in advertising, marketing, and privacy, bringing a wealth of experience from “all sides of the ecosystem.” Recently appointed as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow, she served as a Senior Advisor at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), guiding teams in investigations related to B2C brands, AdTech, and Big Tech. Raashee played a key role in policy and rulemaking actions and led market research analysis.

    Prior to her government service, Raashee excelled in award-winning advertising for global giants like Volkswagen and Samsung. She held senior positions at renowned ad agencies including Digitas (Publicis), Essence (Group M), and LMO Advertising, overseeing global ad campaigns for prominent brands like American Express, Avis-Budget, Google, DAZN, T-Mobile, Unliver Nexxus, and Barclays. Her expertise also extends to corporate marketing leadership and product liaison roles at Neustar (acquired by TransUnion).

    Raashee’s impactful contributions extend to the public sector, where she served as an Expert Advisor/Chief Media Officer at Health and Human Services (HHS), leading the country’s largest public health program (We Can Do This) for COVID-19 prevention and vaccine acceptance.

    Currently, Raashee is the CEO & Founder of Uplevel – Ads & Privacy Consulting firm. In addition, she serves as an advisor & consultant for Lucid Privacy and holds positions on the boards of The Ethical Tech Project and IAPP Women Leading Privacy.

    Vivian is a seasoned leader with marketing and regulatory expertise. Most recently, she managed regulatory governance programs at Microsoft to build more efficient and effective ways of responding and adapting to technology and privacy regulation. Prior to that, she was appointed as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow and served as a subject matter expert at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on advertising, marketing, consumer privacy, and human centered design.

    In addition to providing guidance on investigations and rulemaking, she spearheaded the formation and launch of the new Office of Technology by setting up infrastructure and processes to help the FTC handle the biggest technology issues affecting consumers today. 

    Before her time in the regulatory space, Vivian created award-winning integrated campaigns at Microsoft to meet consumer and commercial business needs across the entire marketing funnel and across diverse audiences. From above-the-line advertising to demand generation, she has experience across all marketing tactics and understands the day-to-day realities and challenges of marketers.
